stitch (n.)
a short piece of thread, etc. that doctors use to sew the edges of a wound together

gash (n.)
a long deep cut in the surface of something, especially a person's skin (人皮膚的) 裂縫

She felt a firm grasp on her arm 她感覺手臂被用力抓住
